Driver's record from US for class G license

Hi,
I am currently in Michigan and will be moving to Ontario as PR soon.
I have a question for the people who moved from the US to Ontario, Canada as PR. I want to ask about the driver's record which is required to get the Class G license.
1. Do I need to get the mail version of the record or the online version also work?
2. If only the mail version is required, can i open the envelope of record from DMV/SOS or should it be sealed and only be opened by the DriveTest Center people?

The only thing they care about is that the US driving record should be a certified version, usually bearing some sort of seal and/or signature. For the states I got mines, that meant hardcopies that came in the mail for which I paid extra application fees for (the online printouts were free and unacceptable).
