I have been driving in USA for several years with a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. I am immigrating to Canada, and I understand that I can exchange the USA license for an Ontario drivers license. Do I have to take a written knowledge test to exchange the license?

Thanks, NS.

no you don'y I had that same issue, I don't know how different Ontario is from Alberta but they told me here I can go up to a year driving with my US License but the twist is when you have to register your vehicle or get insurance you will need to provide a drivers abstract and proof of insurance in the US for over 6 months..... :)

Hi

Driving Test (Written/Practical) is not required. They may check for the vision, at the most.
However you will need the Driving History abstract from the DMVs of the respective States where you had the licenses.
Ensure that your US license is not expired
