hello friends. now that we have entered 2016, everyone is waiting to see how the 2016 draws are going to be like. CIC mentioned to decrease the CRS score and increase the ita which will allow people in 400's receive the invitation. but what will be the draws pattern be like ? same as 2 draws per week on Fridays ? or something else. the 2016 express entry first 3 draws are going to be very crucial and will project future requirement of cic.
i am very evident the 1st draw of 2016 is either going to be on 5th January which is a Tuesday or 8th january which is a Friday.
good luck everyone .

If the pattern of the last 5-6 months in 2015 is repeated then there will be a fortnightly Friday draw with an intake of +/- 1,500 people. Going on this evidence alone it might be Friday 8 January. As to the number of people it will depend on PNPs given and/or LMIAs given to successful applicants.

if its on 8th then the score might be 480's ... but the following second draw we might see a significant drop

Its pure guesswork like any another thread which tries to anticipate draw dates, patterns or scores. If I have to guess, I would say that most likely we will not see any significant change for at least a month or even 2 in terms of draw numbers, ITA numbers and draw frequency. It is going to be an interesting year. I am hoping that CIC would have managed to significantly reduce previous years backlogs. CIC would have also gained great insights on its ability to process different types of EE applications based on the experiences from 2015 EE applications.

All the best to all applicants who are going to be a part of 2016 Express Entry.

CIC should make the stats public, as they released the Mid year July 15 report which had all the CRS stats that provided the insight

CIC can publish this stats after every draw, which will help the candidates know where they stand in the pool.

The figures shared for immigration targets for 2015 was approx 180,000 - 200,000.

In 2015, 23 draws; approximately 35000 ITA's were released. The figures imply that the immigration targets was not achieved? Even half.

Well, we are all guessing. We don't know the total no of Provincial nominees, Job offers and the breakup CEC, FSW etc and the future policies.

All we know that the lowest CRS points 451 > were awarded ITA's.

I believe the same trend will continue in 2016, as there are no announcements.

Well, the lucky lot who worked hard to achieve 450 + deserve compliments.

Let's hope others with < 451 get an opportunity in future.

Good Luck

Taking into consideration the fact that they used to issue only around 700 itas in the beginning of previous year, theoretically there's a good chance that crs score could increase dramatically in case they decide to follow the same pattern, but let's have some hope that scores will be achievable for all of us. Meanwhile, can any of you share some information whether the applicants with inland siblings will get additional points as for now? I think this is also bad news for all who don't have those.

From what I can see, such a change has not been implemented yet (or if it has the CRS points grid has not been updated).

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

From my point of view, if implemented this may cause an issue for Joint applicants (if for example the points are only allocated for the Primary applicant who has an Inland sibling). In a case where the Primary applicant has the qualifications etc which give the application a higher number of CRS points, but the Secondary Applicant has a brother or sister living In-Land but does not have as many qualification to boost the CRS points for the application, some couples who are applying as Joint applicants will be forced to make a carefully considered decision.

Expect score to come down over period.
Rule might be tweaked In regards with students
people with family would get additional points.

Last year there were rule change in may wen canada work experience rules were adjusted.
This year the primary source of immigraton would be express entry.

Would be watching with the size of the draws and not the frequency of draws.

whatever it is, i want to see it touching 450 again, have already lost one ITA and now its really frustrating to wait for another one..

Has there been any experience when draw happened on Monday? I am not sure.

There might be a possible draw today.....

Baljas, I was waiting for you to say this thing :)
what is expected cutoff if draw is today or 8th Jan ?

The 23rd Annual summit met and it is clear that back logs have been cleared and the number of invitees will be more in coming draws which shall bring the scores down

What I guess is the scores might drop after March 2016 and might go below 450
