I am from India. I recently came to canada on study permit. I am obliged to work maximum of 20 hours per week. When I moved to canada 2 months back, I met a guy who is a PR in canada & is working at a mobile repair shop. A month back, he informed me that they are looking for someone to start working part time only on weekends. So, I started working at that mobile repair shop at stone road mall, Guelph, Ontario. I had to work 14 hours per week on the weekends. For which, he asked to share SIN, passport & study permit. I was informed that I would get my pay biweekly but it has been more than 4 weeks but I haven't received my pay. Whenever I ask that guy, he always says that the owner will pay in couple of days. I have left the job though but I am worried that can they miss-use the documents which I shared with them? Moreoever, I don't have anything in written "Offer Letter" that I worked over there.
Kindly help on what could be done & what all I need to be worried of!
