Hi guys,

Please bear with me while i ask some basic doubts. I have admits from canadian and US universities. Some people tell me that its very difficult to get a job in canada as compared to the US and that we need prior experience and all that. I will be joining MEng program in Electrical(specialization: communication/signal processing) so my doubt is if I complete my MEng degree from a top university like McGill or Waterloo(i have an admit here) will that boost my chances for a job?

McGill is one of the best Uni's in Canada. If you do well you should definitely be able to get a suitable job. what you can do now is search on canadian job portals and search for meng jobs and that should give you an idea ...

there r pros and cons for both
US has more jobs for degree holders but green cards/h1b visa's r very difficult to obtain
Canada has fewer jobs but PR is very easy....
i personally like US over canada ..but its just me other people may disagree.....
