doubt about work experience letter

Hi folks,
I got a technical question here. Can I add my work expereince letter which was given in November 2008?. or the work experience certificate has to be from recent date before submiting?

yes you can, if letter specification is in line with the requirement.

See work experience letters are not required in original and are not required up to dates as well. It is the reference letters which states your name, address, designation, working conditions, salary, and main duties which has to be on the company's letter head and stamped and original.

My understanding is that we need to submit original letters. Quoting from the Visa Sepcific requirement checklist for New Delhi

"original and up-to-date letters of reference from your past and current employers."

Also I checked with calgirl and she told me that they returned the original letters on request.
