Don't want my company to know about my application for Express Entry

Hello All,

Currently I am working in Canada for last 1.5 yrs under a work permit for my Indian company. This work permit is going to expire in 3 months. I am also planning to apply for express entry in next few days. When I apply for EE, I don't want my company to know about it.

I wanted to know that suppose I submit a EE profile in next few days (CRS score 410) and after that my company also tells to apply for extension of work permit. Will my company will come to know through CIC that person applying for extension already have an application for EE.

I mean, will CIC won't accept application for work permit extension because EE profile is already created or when they accept the WP extension application they somehow mention that EE is already applied.

The bottom line is I don't want my company to know in any case that this guy is pursuing Express Entry in Canada.

No, to put it briefly (am typing from a phone). You've not lodged any application until you submit eAPR after ITA (anget the subsequent AOR). You'll be fine. Best wishes.

No, your company would not be able to find out any details on your EE application through your wp application as these application are processed separately. Just wondering how you're going to get reference letter from your company without making them know about your intention.

For reference letter, I am also not clear, so for the time being i am just trying to avoid the situation. Do you have any suggestion how to get reference letter from the company without telling them about this

You can always say you are applying for a tourist visa to some other country and give them a pre-formatted letter to sign. Of course, it all depends on how lenient they are on giving out signatures.
