Not sure - for some reason there is no processing timeline posted for Santo Domingo. There is a "disclaimer" on the page that says: "Processing times are presented only where an office has finalized 10 or more cases in the category in the above-mentioned 12-month time period". So that seems to say that SD doesn't process too many cases - which should translate into not too long for processing. Maybe someone here has been processed through the visa office and can tell you the average time it took. The CSQ typically only adds about 6 weeks to overall processing.Have you gotten any type of communication from SD at all??

All files were processed in Port au Prince but since the earthquake have been moved to Santo Domingo.

There won't be any processing information available there yet.

Things are moving fast for those who have been in process since before the earthquake.

Some file went in process january 2010 and are already finalized....much faster than PAP timelines of 9-18 months.

I am glad to hear that. Last month, I sent full documents to SD. Actually, I Drop off....

There is not a historical in SD- VO because of what you already know.

I am expecting them to reviem my docs to procede with Medical Req....

Are you under the old or new FSW system?

Hi SFD,

My husband applied through the Family Class in July 2008 and our application was finalized in just over 8 months without an interview.

He has been in Canada now for 1 year and adjusting well.

I am a moderator of another visa forum dedicated to the Dom Rep. (dr1.com) and a member of the facebook group (Dominicano Spouses).

There has been lots of updates recently from other couples giving hope that things are once again running smoothly and for the first time ever, they are answering emails, providing updates and treating applicants like human beings.

Have you tried emailing the embassy in Santo Domingo and asking for an update on your file?

Well, it´s just a month since I submitted full docs, so I do not know if it is a good idea to contact them. They get irritated when people contact them. I was thinking of giving them another month. If by then, I don´t hear from them, I WILL CALL...

Regards
