Does Visitor VISA need extension after sponsorship application number is generated

Hi,

My infant daughter is with us on visitor VISA. I had applied for her sponsorship under family sponsorship claiming that she is inland with me. I received the application number yesterday from IRCC. But her stay in Canada is about to complete 6 months (her VISA is valid until Dec 2018). So should she leave Canada & return back or she can stay with us until sponsorship is completed & she gets VISA from IRCC?

A PR app does not grant status in any way. Apply online to extend your child's visitor status.

Apply for an extension. Don’t leave unless you have to as there is always a risk they will refuse entry.

It doesn't matter what status your spouse has. You need to maintain your child's status.

We do not have a child. We are newly married.
So that means after the number is generated, she can stay with me without extending her visitor's visa.

I didn't look at the name and thought you were the OP. A "number being generated" doesn't mean anything. If your spouse applied inland for an OWP, she doesn't need to apply for a visitor extension. However, if the OWP app is returned and her visitor status has run out at that point, she would be out of status.
