Got an email today containing the following:

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class.

We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in St. John's will contact you concerning your permanent resident
status.

Please note: At the time of your appointment, you and your family members, if any, will
be required to present the original identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration
Centre. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be
made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the
confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your
passport or identity documents.

Does this mean that my spouse just has to go in for the standard interview that everyone has before receiving PR?

To my understanding there is no interview unless they have questions regarding your relationship, and it would have said that they are requiring one.

Yeah, that's what I thought. So it essentially means that we'll get a call with an appointment to sign papers/quick interview with basic questions? If so that's fantastic! Any further clarification would be appreciated. :) My spouse has already had her medicals and background checks so I'm assuming they were fine.

Congrats! I think this is DM. So, you will receive a letter from the office in St. John's and you and your partner will have a landing interview. Please ask about the landing interview, at 'Inland Application 2011' or 'Inland Applications 2012'.
