Hello everyone,

I’m planning to sponsor both of my parents for a Super Visa, and I understand that I need to meet the minimum income requirement, which is around $45,000 for two people.

My question is:

1) Does this income need to be earned within a calendar year (January 1 to December 31)?

Or can it be counted from any 12-month period (e.g., August 2025 to July 2026)?

I want to make sure I’m meeting the financial eligibility properly before applying. If anyone has experience with this or has been approved with income earned outside of a calendar year, I’d really appreciate your insight!

Thank you in advance!

You need to be able to provide your latest NOA to show you meet lico

Also would be for 3 people. Unless you and your parents have savings LICO likely won’t cover your costs while they visit Canada.
