Does study permit cancel your valid temporary visa if your application refused?

i have a valid visitor visa to Canada with a validity of 6 years multiple entries which i have received recently and still did not travel with it until now .now i would to apply for a study visa next days. i heard that study visa requirements is not easy .so my question is if applied for study visa and my application was refused can this affect my valid visitor visa and could be canceled ?
