Hi All,

I am the main applicant and this is my IELTS score ( L: 8.5, R: 8, W:7, S:8.5). I have even a masters degree and four years of work experience. I am getting 460 points even without keeping my husbands score but I have kept an option that my spouse is accompanying me.Now, I am planning to apply for express entry but I have some doubts regarding what will my husband's status.

1) Will my husband has to write IELTS and does he also needs a score to qualify for PR or will he automatically get PR when I get a PR?

2) If he doesn't get PR along with me then how we can apply for his PR
a) Should we do it as a different application or it can be done in my application only?

3) Does he need to have WES results report when applying along with me?

Please help me with above questions or if possible please point me to any official website where I can find all my answers. Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

1- As long as your spouse is accompanying he will get PR. He doesnt have to take the IETLS or get his ECA unless you wish to claim points for those.

2- Sponsorship.

3- See 1

thanks for the prompt response. By your answers I understand, that if I get PR then automatically my husband will get PR right.

Also, assuming that he is not, for some reason (medical, criminal, misrepresentation), inadmissible to Canada.

Hi Guys,

I was on study permit for a year, then I applied for my PGWP which got refused, I applied for restoration on visitor, i got visitor visa. Now I got married to my fiancé, he is on work permit, I applied for Open work permit that got refused as I didn’t upload is Job experience letter and they didn’t ask for it. Now we are planning to aplly for permanent residency of Canada I have done my ielts as well as my husband did, but my concern is If I re-apply for my Open work permit and after few weeks I will apply for Permanent Residents will that be a problem or if I apply for PR and I am on visitor visa status will that be a problem please help.
