Does sponsorship withdraw cancel the OWP?

My sponsor is considering withdrawing our inland common-law application. I obtained my OWP in February.

If they cancel, can anyone confirm that the OWP remains valid? I can't find this info on the CIC website.

In theory, your OWP should be invalid the moment the inland sponsorship is withdrawn since the OWP is dependence on the Inland Sponsorship being in process. OWP would not be issued without inland sponsorship in the first place. But since it is not really enforceable or has no note on OWP that it remains valid during inland sponsorship, it will remain valid until it's expiry date. Until then, you have a choice to remain in Canada beyond OWP deadline by applying for an visitor extension or you can return to your country.
