Hi everybody

I landed as a PR under the family sponsorship class october 2018 to join my wife at the time (canadian citizen). A few months after I came here I found out she had an affair so I decided to separate from her. Right now we are waiting for the court to process the separation into a divorce.

Last week I lost my PR card and I am about to ask for a substitute, will the change in marital status raise some sort of red flags or similar?

Truthfully when I came here to join my now ex wife I sold my car, house and I left my job so to go back was just not an option but I understand from IRCC standpoint it might look bad.

Any idea about this?

thanks

Once you've landed you should be okay, provided that IRCC doesn't believe you had a marriage of convenience, which it doesn't necessarily sound like you did.
