So my passport is expiring on May 4th, 2019, but my student permit is expiring in August 2022. My new passport is going to be available to me in a couple of weeks. I am aware that I am allowed to travel in and out of Canada with my TRV on my old passport (until it expires in 2019) and with my new passport. But I am not sure if my student permit stays valid after I renew my passport. Will I need to renew my student permit as well? Or just renewing my TRV will do?
