DOES PORT OF ENTRY MATTERS?

I got recently a student visa to study in Windsor ON, Shall I enter through Vancouver, as I wish to visit a close relative living in Vancouver ?
Can any authority ask me saying that why you have enter through Vancouver ?
Does the port of entry matters ?

As per experience, port of entry does not matter. Just make sure you have documents to show that you are going to ON before school starts just incase they ask for it (plane ticket, address,start of class date).
