Hi Everyone

I wish to know does employement status really matters in spouse case. I applied for my wife's visa in April/2012 but still my case shows in process and visa officers are saying your medical is expired we will reissue medical. I left my job when i went to for Marriage i mentioned my previous income and i was not having any other job. I mentioned in the forms that i had to quit from my job because my employer was not ready to give me three monts vacation. I have very good jobs these days should i send them my employement letters and sallary slips to make the process faster or it hardly matters.

My another question is if they will issue medical now the how much time it takes after medicals are done. If anybody have any information about it please let me know.

Thanks

Hi vmodgill

Spousal sponsorship with no dependant child are exempted from financial income requirement and you don't need to send your employment and salary slips now if you already passed the first stage of the application.

I have seen cases where spouse have got visa even if the sponsor was unemployed. However, the time it has taken for your spousal sponsorship is longer than usual. I would suggest you to contact the VO, also send them your most recent payslips and income proof. Even if the income doesn't matter, it will be of huge support to your application. Also order GCMS notes. For spousal cases, after medical, it shouldn't take much time, may be a few months but make sure you order GCMS notes as you will know if there is any problem or why the delay.
