Does High BMI (above 40) leads to study visa rejection?

Hi,
I have got admit from university and will go for medical next week but I am worried about my BMI which is above 40. Will I get refusal because of this?

A high BMI itself is generally not a cause for rejection. They will generally look at the test results to see if there are any concerns based on your blood work, blood pressure, etc. However a BMI of 40 really is quite high - so I guess possible they may send you for additional tests to ensure your full health.

I have no other health issues like diabetes or high blood pressure.
As long as you are free from diseases that results in inadmissibility, you are good to go. Its just the situation you are in will place u under detailed medical screening. Even if you are diabetic and you are maintaining it well and you had told ur IME doctor, its not a problem.
