Does contract work count towards skilled work experience?

Hi everyone, a quick question.

I am on an open work permit, trying to find a full-time skilled job, so I can acquire experience. I got an offer of a contract position, lasting 2 months, in a skilled job category. Would that count towards skilled work experience? The job is classified as Group A. I got offered the position through a recruitment agency.

I am interested in the position as it offers good pay and the 2-month experience would certainly boost my CV. But I would really like it if it counted as skilled work experience, and I could mark 2 months of full-time work going into my PR application, with the 10 months left to follow from another position hopefully.

Contract employment does count, just as long as it is not self-employment.

And, yes, you can certainly combine the experience of one or more jobs to meet the one year requirement.
