Hi! I am applying through CEC, as I have 1.5+ year's experience working as a software engineer on an open work permit. I have been living with my girlfriend in Vancouver since we arrived here (Jan 2018), and we were also living together back in Chile (total almost 3 years). I got the ITA for PR a couple of days ago.
Now, obviously in the Permanent Residency document checklist, the following document was generated for us to fill: Document: Statutory declaration of Common-Law (IMM5409).
We signed this document July last year in front of a lawyer, so we have that, and a couple of rent agreements, pictures, bills, insurance benefits and so on.
Now my question is, if I go this website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=347&top=14, they point to this HUGE document checklist: https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5589e.pdf only for common law sponsor, but I am not sure if in this case it apply for us to fill all of those documents, since I don't have the PR yet, we are both applying at the same time, and she is accompanying me on the PR application.
My concern here is, there are so many files to fill, that chances of making mistakes here are too big, and they can return the application without telling everything that I am missing (my application was already returned in May, because I was missing some CPP documents). I want to prevent my application to be returned again.
Please any advice on how to follow here.
