Hi Friends,

I was wondering if the application set sent to CIO is sent to visa office, i made some mistake in address and i am thinking if i can change it in the next stage i.e to VISA office.

The problem is they have a record of my address as i had earlier applied for temporary resident visa hence i want to match information deto.

Please suggest guys, if i include a change in next stage i.e to visa office - will it be considered a misrepresentation.

Please let me know.

CIO send electronic copies of your forms to local visa office. If you want to make any changes, make then and highlight them in a letter, it should be fine.

thanks Rocky, if i include a additional address at that point , will that be okay?

Update it or include it. But do highlight the changes and mention the reason for changes in a letter.

As rocky said you can make any changes but you must inform them in an explanation letter :

"For your personal records, you should retain copies of all forms. Each copy must have an original signature. You will be requested to submit a signed copy of these forms if the application is recommended for further assessment to a Canadian Visa Office. Should there be any changes made to the information on the forms, a letter of explanation should accompany the submission to the Visa Office."

Thanks Guys,

Just one more question , what are the chances of CIC verify the PR application forms with respect to information of earlier application i.e like Temporary resident visa which someone would have applied in past.

DO they do this or the PR application is seperate and is not cross verified with those earlier information?

Please let me know your opinion.

Thanks,

Hi
Its the Operation Bulletin and the FSW Application process from the website. It clearly states that there and talks about the CAIPS notes as well. I do not have the exact link though.

And CIC verifies everything when it comes to Canada's operations. When it comes to local visa office, it depends upon the documents and process they have to follow. Recently CIC has been updated to check all employment records.

These are the sources :

" Once it is found that the applicant satisfies the Ministerial Instructions, the CIO will record this
assessment in CAIPS and the electronic file will be transferred to the visa office."

The second source :

"At the beginning of each week, CIO electronically transfers all the applications recommended for processing the previous week to the appropriate visa offices. The CIO will send an email to the receiving office's email address once the file transfer is complete. Given the volume of cases, it may take the CIO several days to complete all of its file transfers.

Once the file is transferred, the file is removed from the CIO's IMMIG database and becomes a miscellaneous (MISC) record at the CIO.

CIO will check the status of the file transfers by checking their night job logs (report BATFTX.LPT
)"

"PROCEDURES AT THE VISA OFFICE:

The files e-transferred from the CIO appear in the visa office's night job report (BATFTM.LPT). Visa offices should verify that the night job report against the list of files provided by the CIO. Please note that the transferred files may appear at the visa office as late as Wednesday due to time zone differences.

The transferred files now form part of the IMMIG database in the receiving mission. Since they were transferred from the CIO with PSDEC 4, they are considered “closed” files and remain closed (with PSDEC=4) until the file is re-numbered or re-opened at the visa office."
