Does CIC ever confirm they have all the information they need?

When I check online this is what I get from CIC as the Client Application Status. We believe everything was sent in before December 2017 however other than the medical, they do not confirm that they have the rest. I am the sponsor and also a Canadian citizen.

So my question is, is this normal, should I contact them to ask if they have it all?


We received (name)s application for permanent residence on September 18, 2017.
We started processing (name)'s application on December 13, 2017.
We sent (name) correspondence on November 24, 2017. If (name) has not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please have (name) do so as soon as possible. Please wait until (name) receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
Medical results have been received.

No, there is no such confirmation. If they don't have everything they need, they will contact you and ask for whatever that may be. Otherwise, there will just be silence.

You have received acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) which means your application has passed the 1st documents review for completion and your application is currently in-process.

IRCC will contact you if they need additional document from you......it normal after medical not to hear from IRCC for months.....and you should not contact them.......although not necessary, however you could send any new document you may have to support your application through IRCC Webform.

After background check is completed, IRCC will complete the 2nd and final documents review......if they need any additional document from you.....IRCC will contact you, otherwise they will issue request for passport.......only IRCC could confirm the actual timelines.
