Does anybody successfully file an urgent processing of PR Card

Hi guys, I am wondering whether anyone has a successful experience of filing an urgent processing of PR Card for fresh landing immigrant? I am heading to a conference in Orlando this November. I am worried that my PR Card will not be ready by then since the average processing time for first PR Card is 90 days. I have all the documents they required for urgent processing on CIC website (a round trip ticket, proof of payment, employer reference letter, and conference invitation) but I don't know how/where to submit them. My first PR Card application was submitted through CBSA when I did my flagpole and CBSA officer was not authorized to process my urgent processing request. I can detour to Seattle and drive back to Canada but it will be a huge pain. Any suggestions? Thanks

The urgent processing option is very "hit or miss" unfortunately .

It is very unlikely that you will get urgent processing for a first PR card for a newly landed immigrant.

All you can do is follow the instructions:

If I were you, I'd apply but be prepared to implement plan B.

Isn't urgent processing for PR Card renewals only, though? OP is waiting for the initial PR Card.

I applied for urgent processing when I was renewing my card and it was very, very quick. Two weeks of processing; three weeks if considering when I mailed the application to when I received the card.
