I came to Canada under the francophone MOBILITY PROGRAM and I applied for a work permit extension under the same program
the reason i got denied was that the program no longer exists ,
i sent a reconsideration letter without leaving the country and explained that the program allowed me to extend my WP even if I no longer exist
i waited for about 8 months then i received a new WP, later on, i became a permanent residence and I'm eligible for citizenship
one of the questions in the application (are you now or have you ever been under removal order have you been asked by Canadian officials to leave Canada)?
How do I answer this question and does that affect my citizenship approval?

Just tell the truth.

Let me clarify further, I want to know if you need a lawyer's help with a formal response; if you need to submit a response in the body of the webform; or if you need to get a letter and sign it then submit it through webform. There could also be a reconsideration IMM form that has a fee associated with it.

Thanks for your input but it's fine. People can call in for direction.

Depends on specifics - you are not the original poster, so I assume it's not 'the same' situation. Even if similar.

But in general terms, no need for a lawyer, just explain either in attached letter of explanation or online box. I'm basing this on assumption that if someone is applying for citizenship, whatever their issue prior to becoming a PR was resolved and not all that serious (as they eventually got approved as a PR).
