Does a car accident is considered as a criminal offense? The police were never involved.
Back in 2011 I had a really really slight car accident with another car, and it was a woman in the other car. It was really slight that we can barely see the scratches on her car. We were waiting at the red light and I scratched her car when started up.
She had an accident in the past and claimed an injury before, so she used it as an excuse and claimed injury in our case. Apparently she succeeded, and ICBC paid her 7000 at the end.
After that, ICBC notified me to increase my insurance, and I was really pissed since it was impossible to make her injured at a 5km speed. I disputed and ended up paying for $600 for her car repair fee instead of 7000.
Would this case considered as a criminal offense and influence my immigration case?
