Long story short,

Applied for Family sponsorship for my husband on April 15th, on April 23rd I had an emergency and had to fly back to Canada and wanted so badly for my husband to be by my side.
Unfortunately the immigration officer in Turkey didn't think I needed him and rejected our application based on the fact that my husband had no strong ties back to Turkey. (Even though we were truly going to return and wait for our file to be processed)

Present day, I'm scared that this will affect/effect our file that is currently IN PROCESS in Amman. It's been in process since July 2nd but we havent heard zip. Im applying for notes on Monday to see if there are any notes on my file that we did apply and got rejected for a TRV but if anyone has experience of this before please let me know.

Thank you :)

It won't affect it at all as long as you were truthful on your application.

Previous temporary resident visa refusal will have no affect whatsoever on your sponsorship (given it was not due to security /criminal reasons which seems not to be the case here). In fact, many people met similar immigration obstacles as you and your husband

Im assuming you mean on our TRV application?

If so, I did not mention that I was sponsoring since I hadnt received an email stating that CIC received our sponsorship file and I didnt not have a UCI or file number yet.

Sorry, no, I meant as long as you were truthful about the rejected visa on his PR application, there is a part where you need to list this information.

Sorry lol I think I may have confused you. I sent my sponsorship application first, soon after I did that the emergency came up and we applied for TRV. I didnt mention in my sponsorship that we applied for the TRV because I didnt even know that we were going too. and in the TRV application we didnt mention about sponsorship because we didnt even get confirmation that it was received in Mississauga.

Either way im trying not to worry until I get back our notes.

Thanks anyways

Can't understand why you don't have a UCI number as yet when you already been approved (AOR) .

And of course you couldn't mention this on your application of the rejected visitors visa only because your application was already sent in prior.

Not sure if you should update your file In process , stating your spouse was denied of a visitors visit, because we are required to always update them and then again why should you when incant see it affecting your case.

Me personally would give them what they want by always following their polices - and update them of the current vistors visa denial.

Honestly speaking I think your fine!!!

Good luck !!!

There is absolutely no need for you to worry. The TRV refusal will not have a negative effect on the PR app.

It's a complete non-issue then, don't worry at all! ;D

My husband was refused TRV twice...once before we applied for PR and once after (just before I received sponsorship)....I don't expect it will affect our application because we included it as well...so you should have nothing to worry about. The UCI on the TRV should be the same as your husband's UCI when you applied for PRV....so they will already know....

Relax...

It won't make any difference, because you applied for his TRV after you had already sent in the PR application. In addition, you have a good reason for the TRV application, so if he is asked about it at an interview, he will be able to explain it.

A TRV rejection before a PR application can affect the PR application. The visa officer will look into the TRV application and why it was rejected. In most cases, it does not have any negative consequences - if for example the applicant applied for a TRV to see his or her partner in Canada.
