What course? which college/university ?

law practice program,Ryerson.

What do you get when you complete the program? Diploma? Something else? Is it a full time program?

I just looked this up. It's an alternative to articling. So my thoughts are no - it won't result in a PGWP since it's not a degree or diploma program.

You will get PGWP for the total length of the program, including scheduled breaks. This all assuming this is a full-time course and you are getting a certificate, diploma or degree. If you have 8 months without a break, then you will get exactly 8 months if there are breaks then it will be added to the duration of the PGWP.

If your offer letter says on year then you should get 1 year. Although what you will get is not told. Better to ask the college and find out what you you qualification you will receive.

Sorry half of the message didnt get typed.

So its a 8 month program,4 month in class & 4 month placement. However i know of the cases of international students who were awarded 1 year study coop visa for this particular program.

i know this course doesn't award any CRS points but since IRCC mentioned 8 months program is eligible for 8 months PGWP ,i still want to be certain about this.

If you know people who got the you will get the PGWP. Like I said before if you have scheduled breaks then you will get 1 year PGWP.

I know someone who got 1 year study coop for program term, though it being 8 month program.

I dont know anyone who got PGWP though.

Hi, Did you find any answer to your query? I am in the same boat with similar question.

Hi ratitandon, have you found out if Ryerson LPP qualifies for study/coop and then PGWP? Many thanks in advance for sharing whatever you've been able to find out!

A coop is only valid for the actual coop work part of the course, so even if its issued for 1 year its only valid for the 4 months coop period.
