Documents translation

The below documents are in two languages that is, in English as well as in regional language. There is word to word representation of the regional language in English. And hence, I haven't bothered to get them translated. However, I'm worried that the person processing my OINP application might look at the illegible words and arrive at the conclusion that since translated document is not present the application is incomplete. Has anyone, particularly Indians, sent their application with the below documents in dual languages and not translated them?

Birth Certificate
Degree Certificate and marks sheets
Passport

I had thought of writing up a letter of explanation describing this however, I decided not to because it would be like making the person reviewing my application conscious about it which otherwise probably (s)he would just ignore.

The documents which you mentioned are critical and important documents. It would have been a good idea to just get them translated clearly.

What exactly do you mean by - "Word to word representation?"

Anyhow, I would suggest that you get these documents clearly translated and send it to CIC by raising a CSE. It may not be a big issue if they choose to accept the existing documents but why would you want to take a risk for such a small thing?

I happened to read a similar post in the forum. Someone has mentioned that their documents are in English+local language and the answer their question was same - not needed. However, I'm wondering whether I should write a letter of explanation? Would you suggest?

I don't think that is needed as well, unless they specifically ask you to send the translations of these documents, don't do anything. From the looks of these, they are clear and readable in English and official documents.

I just think you are in the clear and you don't have to send anything unless they ask for it first.
