I got an email from CIC today 14th, asking me to prepare the requested documents within 120 days then hand them all in one package.I had made my initial application in 2007.

In the letter they indicated the importance of using this time to have the IELTS ready. Now members here comes my questions:

In 2007 January,I did my IELTS scoring Writing 8- Listening 8 -speaking 8 -and reading 6.5. That translated to 3 high level and 1 moderate thus 14 points. The instructions then were that if you had your IELTS then make your application within one year, the results shall remain valid.I made my application in February 2007.

(1) Can I comfortably hand in my 2007 IELTS score going by that clause "within one year of application" ?

(2) Since there was a review in IELTS benchmarks scores..e.g reading at 6.5 is now considered high level..Can I be able to claim a high level in reading since i had scored 6.5 before the new rule came into effect?( as at then 6.5 was moderate level).

(3)Since i had applied before the new rule was effected, my job title does not appear among the "38" I however have 67 points. What are my chances of getting the PR?

No worries, as you will be assessed as per the rules in place @ the time of Application!!!

Your Chances are good provided you meet all the requirements and are able to satisfy the IO assessing your case.

Good Luck and Best Wishes!!!
