Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi friends,

I have applied under CEC, NOC-A category. I had few questions in past and they got resolved in this forum. Thanks to all those "angels" who answered my questions. I have gone through Canadian Immigration web site and tried to understand what documents will be required after getting ITA.

I have following questions in this regard. This questions are quite generic and I guess many other candidate under CEC category may have same questions.

1. I know that for Canadian work experience they ask for a reference letter mentioning roles, responsibilities, duration and salary. WILL THIS KIND OF LETTER REQUIRED FOR WORK EXPERIENCE OUTSIDE CANADA? I have managed to get reference letter for Canadian work experience but very difficult to get a letter for outside Canadian work experience having roles and responsibilities because of company policies. I can get traditional experience letter easily having name, designation and dates. Please through some light.

2. I have a bachelor's engineering degree certificate from Indian university. Will I need to get ECA done? If yes, how?

3. I have worked in Canada for a year. How can I get police verification certificate from Canadian police?

4. How to get Indian police verification certificate.

5. My wife is also a degree engineer from Indian university and she has no relevant work experience. But I am getting CRS points for her degree. Will she need ECA?

6. In my wife's degree certificate, her name before marriage is mentioned. However her passport has a name after marriage. In my EE profile I have put her name as her passport (i.e. her name after marriage). What I need to do for this discrpencies?

Thanks.

Hello PrettyCanada and other members,

I have been looking answers for some of the questions asked below. I can see that you posted these question last year, and I am wondering if you now have answers to your 1st and 3rd question. I am in the same boat and worried about providing reference letters to CIC for my past jobs in India. Will you be able to share your experience?

Thanks

Similar to your situation, I can produce reference letter for my current job in Canada, but it is going to very difficult to get reference letter for my previous jobs in India.

Also, I wanted to ask another question related to CEC, If I am being selected under CEC based on my one year of Canadian work experience, my primary NOC Code in my application should be of my Canadian Job, not of my previous jobs, is that right?

Background:
Foreign work experience (from two jobs) - 28 months
Canadian work experience (one job) - 12 months

2. I have a bachelor's engineering degree certificate from Indian university. Will I need to get ECA done? If yes, how?

3. I have worked in Canada for a year. How can I get police verification certificate from Canadian police? Do we need PCC from Canada?

In regards to question 3, you do not need to provide a Canadian PCC with your application. If CIC decides that they need one, they will request it later on, and will tell you how to get it.
