For Question 18 on Doc Checklist "Proof of Employment", if I (Canadian citizen) am unemployed (stay-at-home mom) and my husband (US citizen) is the main breadwinner is 18 not applicable for me? I can include my husband's tax returns and pay stubs but it seems like they just want proof of employment for the sponsor.

For Question 19 Do I skip this one as well since I am sponsoring my spouse I do not need to show a minimum income? I do have bank statements of savings in Canada for myself and from family.

Should I just include more information than they require?

Thanks

Document 18 applies to the sponsor and only applies "if you are employed". Since you are not employed, you can ignore it.

Documents described in 19 are only required if you must meet the minimum income requirements. Assuming you are legally married and have no non-Canadian children, you don't need to meet the minimum income requirements and can also ignore that section.

Thank you very much for responding. That is what I thought but I am second guessing everything because I am so scared of making a mistake or misunderstanding something. Thanks for your time!

I assumed there's no income requirement if you are sponsoring a spouse. Could I be wrong? For Doc 18, is pay stubs good enough?

Thanks.

No income requirement if you are sponsoring only your spouse and no non-Canadian dependent children.

For document 18, I don't think pay stubs will do it. They are asking for a letter from your employer stating the required info.

I believe option C is document 17. He's asking about document 18 which is something completely different.
