Do you guys think is going to be easier to get an invitation with the first come first serve system?

Yes. At least you can have some influence by getting ready and applying early.

The lottery was just plain lazy and benefitted even people who didnt qualify.

I have been in 4 lotteries and was unsuccessful for all 4. That's 2 years wasted.
 
Just make sure that you are sitting in front of your computer at 23:59 on January 1st and refreshing the IRCC web pages, so that you can get in before the other 94,999 applicants.

Nope that's pretty much is the scenario. Its the same situation for PNP OID. They open the stream for a couple of hours and its filled up within 2 to 3 hours. So I would guess alot of people would want to apply as soon as it open.

Serious. It was one of the biggest issues with the first come, first serve system when the apps needed to be physically delivered. Couriers lined up the night before with hundreds of applications each and the cap was filled within hours.

The IRCC site is probably going to crash with tens of thousands of people trying to submit the interest form at the same time.

Serious, if a little "tongue in cheek". You are back in the race, competing in a first come, first served scenario all over again. So, you don't have couriers lined up outside IRCC’s office any more. Instead, you personally are now competing directly against other racers for the first spots.
 
I guess it's still a challenge, a different kind of challenge now. At least we can be prepared now and not leave it all to chance. How can one have the best chance to be in the first 20,000 to submit the expression of interest form online?
