Hi All,

Do we need to send original gift deed along with Ontario PNP application or will photocopy suffice?

If we want to send original, then do we need two copies of gift deed? One for Ontario and one for CIC.

Thanks..

Not sure about originals required for Ontario PNP but it is definitely not needed during CIC application submission. You only need scanned copy of original. I am guessing that Ontario PNP would also not need originals but it's better it you wait for someone with OOPNP to respond..

All the best..

Original affidavits should be sent. Make a copy for cic which you can upload post ITA.

Hi Belladu,

Stamped Gift deed may have different names in different countries. In Indian context it is an official document that allows parents/relatives to gift an asset to their children.

Note that stamped Gift Deed is not a compulsory document. It is being used to ensure that in the absence of strong POF docs, the supporting docs provided by applicants are valid as per local laws. What CIC expects is a declaration for the donor that the gift was indeed made and nothing is expected in return. If you can get an Affidavit / Notarized declaration from the donor that would suffice.

You can find more info and examples in this link : http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/a-complete-way-to-nail-source-of-fund-dilemma-t349224.285.html
