Do we need transit visa?

I'm planning to travel from hyderabad to toronta via london.
Do I need to take a transit Visa?
Please help.

how long is ur stay in london ? if stay is less than 24hrs and ur not leaving the airport then u shouldnt need a transit visa

No you haven't required a transit visa to travel through UK, its only required when you are traveling through America.

as long as u have a valid canadian visa u wont need transit visa

Travelling through london does not require transit visa..as u must wait on the airport..so it not require the visa..

I think we dont need a transit visa even if we go out of the airport if we have a connection flight within 24 hours.

no u need a visa if u want to leave the air port....if u want to exit air port u will have to go through immigration and customs.
