No, you should not submit any originals unless asked by the embassy or is mentioned in the checklist.

hello,

Submit those documents in original for which it is possible to obtain multiple copies.(letter from bank showing solvency, employment letter etc). For marksheets it it adviced u submit plain xerox or attested copies.

Except passport u r not going to get anything back.

Hope it makes sense to u. :)

Even copies of "letter from bank showing solvency, employment letter, etc" will do.

I did not submit any originals except for my Passport.

i dont think original loan letter from bank would be wise to submit.
its better to submit a xerox of that too.
not sure about the marksheets though.
will only plain xerox of marksheets work?
or do i need to attest them from a notary?

As said before they won't rely on just a piece of paper. They will call up your school or board to learn if its legit if they feel like so it really doesn't matter if its original or Xerox and has been notarized or not. But yes its recommended to provide a clear copy on Bond paper than a regular Xerox.

Yes, I think it will be more genuine if we can get the copies notarized.

Abhi.

Your call, it won't harm your application though. My consultant suggested against it. Even I was confused over this point so when I reached VFS office, I checked 3 different files and none of them were having any notarization on their Xeroxes.

Even the IELTS score card, offer letter, bank letter all were mere xerox copies??

Yep! I made two good quality copies of all the included documents on bond paper and submitted one such set.
