Do we need RCMP fingerprint for Express entry?

I got ita this month so now i am collecting required documents. Someone told me RCMP fingerprints are necessary for express entry. Is that true?

Not true, you are not required to provide a Canadian PCC, it will only be asked if needed during the processing of your application.
