Hi,
I have completed my 2 years masters and now I am going to join managerial job at a big chain of stores at Ontario Canada, by the end of 1 year I am intending to apply for CEC, At the time of application my son would going to be 18 years old.I am very stressed out, I want to know if his age would be considered at the time of receiving application and get locked till the approval for PR or his age would be considered at the time of approval of application? He might reach exactly 19 in a period of 14 months .please reply I would be grateful and do illustrate the success rate of CEC for international students. Thanks

I would strongly recommend to use the search feature BEFORE making a new post:

Also take notice that now the age was reduced to 19 instead of 21

I can speak about only what happened to my classmate here in toronto. Even we did masters here

His parents had filed point system PR and they had my classmate as a dependent (he was 17 yrs)

But it took so long and he completed his studies and also got a job offer in toronto

When their case was finalized for PR, he received a refusal letter but was provided 60 days notice to respond why officer need to still consider him as a dependent. He could not prove since he was about to start working.

Finally his case got refused and now he is waiting to file his own CEC case next year
