Dear Experienced people,

I have an issue which I am really worried about. I applied for the citizenship last August. My E-CAS is in process and my file has been transferred to my local office. I had to leave my residence and stay in another province for a short time. I am afraid that i will receive a test invitation by mail while I am away from home. My question is: do Test and oath invitations appear in ECAS?

Good luck for all.

Yes it appears sometimes and sometimes not. if you are still in doubt, please call cic call centre for current status.

Bashar, do not rely on Ecas. I have a test in two weeks and it is not in Ecas. You cannot actually rely on call center either because I called them a coupe of days ago and he said no test invite yet. The only thing you can rely is the old fashioed mail. Ask your friends to monitor your mails when you are not home.

I'm taking oath next week and my e case still says "in process" no test no oath.

Dont Rely on E-CAS at ALL! I took my test and already and I have the Oath on Monday and the Status didn't show any of that .. if I didnt receive the letter by mail I will have no clue!

Yep. Have a close friend check your mail box regularly. That is the best correspondence to rely on, ECAS is not really up to date. Even the CIC call center does not really have the updated answers to some queries.

Mine showed the test date but doesn't show the oath yet, even though I've got an invitation 2 weeks ago. I would definitely get someone to check your mailbox while you're away.

One solution is talk to Canada Post and re-route your mails for specific period of time to new address. They charge so amount but I think this is good to be on safe side. Good Luck!

I think documents from CIC cant be forwarded. It says that "DO NOT FORWARD"
In that case canada post won't forward it.

@Bashar4:You should ideally talk to the person living on the old address to track and keep the letters for you.
