Hi,

I have received an invitation from ontario PNP but I do not have my birth certificate.
I am an indian passport holder.

Are there any workarounds?

Thanks!

Did you lose it or were you never issued one? Can the matric certificate work? Post ITA the birth certificate is not required but somehow ontario do require this.

Try to get an affidavit, declaration of age document that is notarized, etc...

What have you been using for all official documentation?

Hi Rahul - You can submit your matriculation(SSLC) marks card which has your DOB for OOPNP with the letter indicating that you not do have the Birth certificate.

Thanks
Ravi

Thanks a lot for your reply guys.

Till date I have been using my Passport and Class 10 marks sheet which has date of birth.

Although I checked that we can get a Date of Birth Certificate from indian consulate here but that is not treated as a birth certificate as it only
certifies your date of birth. Check blsindia-canada.com//cert_dob.php

Cheers!

Better to get your Birth Certificate from the Municipal Corporation of your city of Birth.
It will be helpful in long run.

Do not take the risk. It is clearly mentioned in the application guide that if you do not have a birth certificate, then provide them some authoritative reason of not having it (like a letter from the concerned VAO/Thasildar or someone who has been vested with the power to issue such a letter).

You can write a LOE and tell them that you do not have a birth certificate for so-and-so reason and hence you are submitting the letter from the concerned authority.

can i show SSLC, Aadhar, PAN, Passport along with an affidavit from notary instead of birth certificate?

Seen in some posts like to get certificate from government authorised person why there is no birth certificate. Can anybody tell me from where and from whom we need to get this?

It might differ from place to place. If you want to get a birth certificate, you should usually go to court with as much evidence you can gather along with a letter from VAO/Thasildhar or anyone with a similar authority.

As for the Ontario application, I think you can get a letter signed by the Thasildhar/VAO stating you DO NOT have a Birth Certificate. I am not very sure if there are other options. May be members in a similar position would be able to help you further.

Hi All,

I am in similar situation,

I cannot get birth certificate from the town now which is mentioned as place of birth in my passport as my family have moved to different state and we do not have permanent address in the state which is mentioned as place of birth in my passport.

Can i get birth certificate from different place but in this case the place of birth in passport and birth certificate will mismatch.

Please suggest what are the alternatives i have.

thanks

If you guys are still in India, it's damn easy to get your birth certificate from the local municipal / corporation office. My partner got it done in 2days, so give it a try.
