Do immigration officer call our employer to double check our employment?

Hi

MY boss Got Verification call (just of 36 seconds) regarding my case from CHC, New Delhi though I sent Original reference letter, copy of contract, appreciation letters, income tax documents of the last 2 years, increment letters etc. etc.

It is hard to generalize Y they call!!
