Hi Everyone,

I am finishing my 2nd post-grad in Dec 2018 in ON, my plan after that is to apply for a 3 year PGWP, then move to BC to work.

My friend told me that since i have studied in ON ever since arriving in Canada, I need to hire a lawyer to help me with the paperwork, so that i can apply for PR later on (due to difference provinces), and also it will save me more money if i do so.

Is it correct?

Thank you all!

No, I studied in one province and worked in different province on my work permit and got pr and citizenship, cic websites are self explanatory and we helped each other to apply for work permits. Apply it yourself.

And for Pr all you will need is a job letter from your employer and as long as you have it you don't need lawyer

You do not need to have a lawyer, and having one does not guarantee anything.
I hired a representative for my husband's spousal work permit application. It was still denied. A lot of money and time wasted.
