Hi everyone, I'm writing an invitation letter for my girlfriend to come to Canada. On Canada Government website, they say "provide a photocopy of a document proving your status in Canada, such as a Canadian birth certificate". I'm sending her the scanned version via email. Does it need to be a notarized photocopy of my birth certificate, or can it be scanned version of my original birth certificate? I think they just ask for photocopy if she is submitting by mail, because we can't take the original back. But I'm not sure. Could somebody help?
