I had to apply for a new passport due to running out of pages for entry stamps.

I hold a Vietnam passport. I already visited Canada twice already both times for about 60days.

Do I need to transfer my multiple entry visa to New passport? I have 4 years left on my visa.

I read on Canada.com that I'm able to bring both documents when traveling to Canada.

However, my travel agent who also handles visas advise me that I need to transfer visa to New passport otherwise I will be denied entry to Canada when I visit.

I plan to visit Canada in 2 weeks.

If so, how long would the process and would it be the same as applying for the visa all over again?

Thanks in advance

No. Your travel agent is wrong. Google it on the CIC site. Travel to Canada with both passports.

Thanks for you response. I really appreciate it.
She keeps insisting that I should. Now I'm curious if I was to transfer it over, would I run into any issues with it ever being denied transfer, no longer having the visa and having to re-apply all over again.

There is no such thing as a visa transfer.

You’ll have to re-apply all over again if you want a visa in your new passport.

Your travel agent just wants your fees. Why do you believe her when you read it yourself on Canada.com? She probably preys on ignorant people.

Here is official confirmation from IRCC: https://twitter.com/citimmcanada/status/946410004537663490?lang=en
