Do I need to tag the document

Hello I am wondering whether I need to add text on the pdf to state what kind of document it is. For example do I need to tag on the document as reference letter-employment offer letter and etc? Will that be considered as tampering the document?

Do you mean saving the documents with, for example, 'Reference letter.pdf' or 'Offer of Employment.pdf' etc? that should be fine.
