Do I need to show proof of address in the sponsorship application?

Hey everyone,

I am planning on sponsoring my spouse and kids (outland).
I live at my friend's place for free because I don't see the point of paying for a separate place before my family arrives. However, because I don't technically rent anything, all the bills are on my friend's name so I don't have any proof of address aside from car insurance and driver's license.

I was wondering if there is any step in the sponsorship process where I will be required to provide the proof of address in the form of utility bills etc?
