Last October 2012, I add my spouse in my application for PR. I change already my status to single to married. My SIN change already my last name, because they tell me that if don't change my last name I'm still single. My question now, do I need to renew my old open work permit because my status there is single and my last is different with my SIN now?..Please help me?.. thanks

You don't have to if the validity of your current OWP is still valid. Just inform CIC and include a cover letter indicating your Client ID# together with your Marriage certificate that you will change status from Single to Married (on this you will save $150) Note: In my case, I tried renewing my then Work Permit into my married name; but CIC didn't put my Married Name because at that time I only submitted my Marriage Certificate. And then when I renewed my passport, and that what I used to apply my PR/OWP- and finally CIC issued me OWP under my married name/passport name) I guess PASSPORT document is a best proof that you are married. So if I were you, first renew your passport into your married then everything will follows. ANd one more thing, some LCP's include their husbands applying for PR even they are using their SINGLE NAME. You will just inform CIC about your change status and I guess you have to submit application forms for your husband wherein you said in your posts that you already did it.
