Pre-Assessed..
hi all,

My CEC application got rejected because VO thinks that I did not completed one year full time work experience. Now I am going to file new application but I got raised last year after filing my application in 2012 . Do I need to mention in the job reference letter that I got raise . As it was less when I filed last time or I just mention my current wage/hr . Please do reply.

Yes, definitely...reason being that they check your paystubs and compare them with the salary stated on your reference letter. If there's a disparity, they'll put you up for a secondary review, and you don't want that.

Be as complete as possible in your letter!

I don't think it's a must... The paysubs aren't mandatory anyways...
I personally got a raise by the end of the first year and my new salary was indicated in the letter, which was different than my pay stubs...

CIC has been seen to reject people for the pettiest of reasons. I think it just makes sense to be as upfront and consistent with them as possible. The fewer reasons you give them to doubt you, the faster your application will move along.

There was a post a while back about a guy whose friend got GCMS notes in which the officer was unable to match the salaries on the paystubs and those on the reference letter...and the officer flagged that as one of a few worrying signs.

Just going off what I've read around here.

I work with children with special needs. The problem is I get 2 different rates depending on if parents want session at home or at clinic. So its hard to explain that. with my T4 slips my salary per hour comes out to be abt 18/hr . But paystub are confusing and company is small they dunn mention pay rate on stub and for some reason i noticed that in every paystub I have constant no of hours i checked my colleague paystub her is the same case. I don't want to confuse VO. If its ok if I don't send paystub but just send T$ and refernce letter

Check the CEC documents checklist - it explains what information should be in your reference letter. If your employment letter will mention your current pay rate, hours worked per week, total number of hours worked, length of employment(at least 1 year), full-time/part-time status, main duties/responsibilities, name and contact information(or business card) for person the officer can contact to verify your employment, etc it should be fine. Also include most recent T4 and notice of assessment(2012 tax year).

For people who are not able to provide an employment letter, paystubs, job contract/offer, etc are examples of documents they can provide to help prove their work experience.

raise was given, put it down, it's not going to hurt.
