Do i need to come from the country where my papers was processed? Im currently working in saudi arab

Good day everyone. Can anyone give me some advise please. I got my work permit already. Im currently working in saudi and my contract will end on may. Im planning to go to canada by january but im not sure if my employer will allow me to bridge my contract because we are under staff right now. Is it okay if im going to have an emergency vacation ( of course they will issue me an exit and re entry visa here in saudi)but instead of going to philippines i will go directly to canada? By the way i processed my papers thru vfs global in the philippines and i just authorized someone to send and pick up all my documents. And also do i really need to fly directly from the philipines to canada?sorry for the ling msge.thanks in advance
