Do I need to change my status or report to CIC that i got married outside Canada? What should I do? please help..thanks in advance..

You don't need to do anything to inform CIC about your marriage.

If your timeline is accurate, you only need to file for spousal sponsorship and bring your wife and child her to Canada with you.

I would like also to ask abt my situation. I got my FSw PR last APR. 2012 as single and got married Aug 2012. As im outside of Canada I failed to update my status. Im planning to sponsor them (husband and son)once i get back to Canada next month..What should I do? Do i have to write them to update the status and tell them the reason of the delay? Thanks and Im hoping for your reply

No you don't have to report anything.

Thank you for the reply..so shall i proceed to fill up the sponsorship forms immediately? Thanks
